Online Marketing and Affiliate Programs
Work at home products based on online or internet marketing and affiliate programs, to be honest, are a bit of a minefield. They are variously promoted as work at home businesses, homebased businesses, work at home mom businesses and a myriad of other labels. So from the outset let's immediately identify the good, the bad and the ugly!
The rule on this subject is:

"Turnkey Solutions" / Get Rich Quick!
Anything, and I mean anything, that offers a "turnkey solution" or a "get rich quick" scheme for a money making website is rubbish. They are all based on the idea that the guy offering it has a website or some "system" that is making gazillions of dollars each year.
So, let's clarify what internet marketing really is (or should be).
By using Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing or similar, a service or product is directly marketed and promoted to an audience that is highly targeted by the use of keywords. Keywords are the words or terms people enter into search engines to look for things on the internet.
There are a number of ways that you can achieve this and a number of ways you can set this up to run.
1. You find products for sale, become an affiliate of the company offering the product and receive commissions for leads provided or sales delivered.

You can do this without having your own website. All you do is find the product, establish a relationship with the vendor (usually through an affiliate program) then search for relevant keywords for that product. You then use Adwords or a similar program to place ads for the product using your keywords and send anyone clicking on your ads directly to the website of the company offering the product. If the person then buys the product, you receive a commission.
2. Repeat the exact same actions from the paragraph above only instead of directing the potential buyers to the provider's sales website you direct them to your own. On this website you write what is called a "third party" recommendation for the product or pre-sell the product THEN direct the person to the sales website, they purchase and you receive a commission.
3. You have your own product or business and you wish to take it on to the internet to achieve greater exposure or sales. You use Adwords ads with relevant keywords to direct people searching for your type of product to your website.

The internet is essentially a chaos of information and has become a storehouse of such magnitude that, to you and I, it is virtually useless. It is ONLY because search engines like Google, Yahoo etc have the capability of sorting that information is the internet of any use to anyone.

Because of this chaotic nature, trying to work your way solo through that morass to find what you need to learn about the subject of online marketing and everything mentioned on this page is very, very difficult if not impossible.
I have spent a lot of time going through this entire subject and I can tell you honestly that I am not an expert in the subject yet. The one thing that I have established is who the REAL experts are. None of these programs or tools are going to take your money and give you nothing. They all have valuable information that you can use now to get started.

If I had a website or system that was making $100,000 dollars a year and it was possible to simply replicate that site so that the new site was making $100,000 dollars per year then why the hell would I sell it to you for a couple of hundred bucks? Wouldn't I just do it myself and keep the money?
Well the truth probably is that they ARE making gazillions each year by selling these programs to people like you!
You also want to attract free traffic to your website through the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo etc. so that you can direct people to the products you are marketing. Finally, you can also place ads on your own site (look to the left of the page, (yikes! It's an ad.) and get paid for people clicking on those ads.

And for this one too, you will want to know how to place ads on the site so that if people do not want to purchase your product you may still derive income from clicks on ads showing on your site.
