The most fundamental concept you will be dealing with in online marketing is "keywords." You simply cannot overestimate keywords as an importance. There is NO action that will occur in any part of the process of online marketing without the use of keywords.
There are a number of online keyword suggestion tools that are available, Google has one, Yahoo has one and there are others. What they will provide are relevant keywords and estimates of traffic associated with those keywords.

I can't stress this enough. You will literally be flying blind and the only way you will find out whether or not you are in the right area or on the right track is by running an expensive test campaign or, in the case of driving traffic to your site, wait two to six months to "see what happens."

There is only one way to know this and it is through a fully professional service or software.

Simply finding keywords is only about 20% of the job.

The other subscription style keyword service worth looking at is Trellian KeywordDiscovery. They offer monthly and annual subscriptions at two different levels and also offer a free trial. Again it is well worth taking the tour of the service's features as it is an education in itself as to the depth and detail of keyword research necessary to be competitive. To see click here:
Next the B52 of keyword research software, Keyword Elite. This is a stand alone software that resides on your computer and is not a subscription service. The advantage of that being that you are not so heavily at the mercy of your internet connection whilst conducting your research.
All of these services and Keyword Elite offer pretty much the same things. The reason for that is that the information they collect is universally recognized as being the information you must have. There is no room for opinion in this area.
